YOUR ADVENTURE BEGINS HERE!
FRESH X IS A PRE-ORIENTATION ADVENTURE EXPERIENCE for first year students. For the past 21 years hundreds of students have begun their college careers on Fresh X, spending four days meeting new classmates, being challenged, learning about life at Ohio Wesleyan University, and having fun.
The original wilderness trip is still the most popular, and we have two additional options. Click on the heading for more information on that trip.
Wilderness Fresh X: A World to Explore
This is your chance to join up to seventy five your new classmates for camping and high adventure in West Virginia. You'll get to choose activities including backpacking, rock climbing, canoeing, whitewater rafting, and more!
Athletes' Fresh X: Focus on Sport
This backpacking trip was designed just for student athletes. It takes place earlier in the summer to accommodate fall athletes whose practice schedule overlaps with the main wilderness trip. All student athletes are welcome.
NEW FOR 2009! Habitat Fresh X: Building a New Home
Join this group to work with the Habitat for Humanity Chapter of Portage County, Ohio to build a house for a family in need. In the process you'll make new friends, discover more about yourself, and prepare for life at college.
